I have trained a chicken to apply the glue.
If there are no pictures then it didn’t happen.
I could borrow one from the farm next door to where we are on hols - although the one on the road had definitely been spatchcocked. They won’t miss another one.

Here it is having a rest with its apprentices after finishing.

This is an idea I started kicking around in my head before our holiday. I wanted a long footbridge to access the MPD and this is the result.
It started life as a Dapol station footbridge with the centre span replaced by laser cut sides from Scale Model Scenery. They are a little deeper than the original kit but hopefully I’ve disguised this. I added some mesh to the inner sides before giving it a coat of red oxide primer. It obviously needs weathering at some point.

Nothing wrong with that Steve.

Agree, very high standard once again. Can I ask Steve, what is the material used in the “wall” around the turntable? R-

The walls are sleeper walls cast from resin. They were curved by softening them in very hot water before shaping. As they cool they set in their final shape.
I may yet replace them with a wall of sleepers built from coffee stirrers as the cast sections are slightly out of scale.

Thanks, thought it might be one of your resin projects. They look very effective and convincing but I see what you mean about being oversized.
I’ll go for coffee stirrers. When I can find which box they are in.

Roger, you are a bad influence.
I have just spent an hour laminating coffee stirrers (too thin on their own) ready for cutting to length tomorrow.
I think I need ‘professional help’.

Footbridge looks very good - is that Halfords Red Oxide? Following on from the comments about coffee stirrers, there will probably now be a national shortage as every railway modeller grabs a handful in Starbucks (there are other coffee shops)
