Glad you had a good day, but 'cold'? Wimp.

There was a gale blowing through the grandstand that I was in - bl##dy freezing! Even sitting in front of a fat bloke didn’t give any shelter.
Not unusual for Northants - one year in July, the rain was blowing in one end of the stand at Stowe, and straight out the other end. Horizontal precipitation is a speciality there.

We usually load the car with special clothing when traversing that county.

It’s warmer in Barcelona in February than it was at Silverstone yesterday.
Rumors are that next year’s race is earlier in the year (June) so I’m going to start training huskies and get in the supplies of Kendal mint cake.

We got there in the end. The faulty adjustable seat turned out to be an unplugged connector.
There were couple of small parking dings on it and I had planned to get a 'dent man' to fix them but instead I bought a few pointless dent repair tools for half the cost of a visit and did them myself.

And a step to help Steve get in - he is getting older! It does look nice - like the colour.
My Volvo XC70 serviced and MOT'd to day - all well for another year.

The running boards are for the memsahib - cheaper than the engine hoist needed to get us out of the MX5.
The colour (typical salesman comment) is the same colour used by Aston Martin when they were part of the Ford empire.
We’re pleased with it - more comfortable for longer journeys. It finally bought home just how stiff the suspension on my Fiesta ST is - but that does go round corners a lot faster.

I thought they had banned those bumper-car fronts on pedestrian safety grounds. It would certainly deter car park nudgers though.

Yes and no. The older style of rigid bars were banned after 2007 but now they have to be fitted on brackets that ‘give’ to be compliant. And of course, you have to tell your insurance company.
