You could choose any one of those. :D (smiley face).

Back to the 71, still to do:

Stainless worksplates on order. I actually ordered the wrong ones, but a call to Fox Transfers this morning and they have intercepted and changed my order - great service. Once received I’ll stick them on and then move on to:

Light weathering - the main question is the roof. Originally painted with white primer, and originally I expected to just do a black wash. But, black wash on white primer is how I achieve a weathered timber finish, which ain’t right for this. One reason why I sealed it with varnish. I think I may have to practice and experiment on something else first.

Finally test it to make sure I reconnected the lighting wires properly.

The varnish gives the impression on the unswept sections of the front windscreens (lucky accident - I had to clean it off the other windows as I had removed the Maskol too soon  )

That looks great Steve. Nice touch with the air brush and I especially like the way the wiper effect on the windscreen shows up. I hope the owner is pleased. R-

Been watching this thread with interest over the past week or so and very impressive end results........as mentioned previously I also like the wiper patterns and for me this loco has exactly the right amount of weathering to demonstrate in-service use....... very nice job indeed.
