You could always make a bridge to cover up the hinges, one that just drops on top, once the flap is secured.

Hinges and catches will (eventually) either have strategically placed lineside huts or clumps of bushes.

No can't do that because my plans for the senics on the flap section. There is ging to be a road leading into a goods shed yard in the corner. Its all in my head. Prooves something is in it.
Steve. I'm going to get sign like that for my door.

No, I was thinking more of a road overbridge "balanced" on the hinge upstands.

It doesn’t stop them, or me for that matter. :D

If it were mine I'd just drop an empty building over the hinge blocks.

That is good idea TWD, but now the mainline is there it is to close to the track. Thought of signal box but there are no points nearby. Cant think of any other buildings that would be so close to the rails.

Signal boxes aren’t always near points.

How about farm buldings such as a barn? I scratch built a barn to hide a servo controller that needed to be installed topside on my current layout. In the past I also used a Hornby water tower to hide a DCC Concepts point motor - still got it if it's big enough to go over your hinge blocks 70x48mm internal size - even has automatic lighting installed!

Thankyou for the offer TWD but the hinge block is 5" X 2". I think it will look good as a grassy bank with foot path next to it with some trees next to the back scene.

There is always a way to camouflage something. I once saw a hinge block covered with a grounded coach body.
