Wow! I am amazed. In my opinion it is a simple layout that can (and is) operated by one person. When the grandchildren arrive up to three can run trains. One in the fiddle yard. One at Sovereign Street and one running trains on the 'main lines'

Another must have model. A Leeds Scarcroft & Wetherby locomotive with an aircraft load from Blackburn Aircraft Company is heading south. Security is lax. The aircraft is not covered over.

A K &ES passenger train is heading towards Sovereign Street and Kirkstall. To the rear of the picture you can see a Calder Railway train continuing to Earlsheaton Junction.

I was looking at these lovely scenes, and what strikes me is the realism comes from the way your locos and stock are in proportion to the size of the sidings and layout. The use of short locos and 4 wheel coaches are ideal.
