Hello all
Not much progress on Little Weldon this week. Hope to get the chance to carry out some roadworks and fence building later on.
Sorry about the delay in getting back to you Andy but I had to draw the track diagram. Drawing it out by hand feels more in the spirit of how the layout evolved. None of this electronic track drawing stuff for me.

Nice use of Hornby Dublo track and locos etc.

Glad to see I'm not the only 'pencil & paper' merchant when it comes to track plans.

I need to update mine since I re-jigged my fiddle yard section a few weeks back. I've also marked it up with the position of the various isolating sections (I'm old school analogue controls rather than DCC too).

Hello all
Thank you for your kind words cheshire.
I managed to spend some time on the layout over the weekend.I have painted Little Weldon's station forecourt and the roadways leading up to the level crossings the same as the High Street. I have introduced some yellow colouring around the edges of the crossings to help soften the joins.
I have constructed another matchstick fence to run along between the Weighbridge hut and the Goods Shed. This has been painted brown with a black wash, and advertising has been added.I have laid some Cobbles around the Goods Shed too.
Now that I have started this area I have lost my work bench.

Nice blend of old and new buildings an scenery etc. I had one of the Dublo station buildings in the 1960s!

Hello all
Since I have painted and papered the roadways around Little Weldon station itself. The major area's of scenery are now of a consistent standard throughout the layout. There is no longer any bare board, quite an achievement, I have never created a layout this "complete" before. Generally I am happy with the result, I have a number of ideas I would still like to incorporate into the layout. Spare time is is limited at the moment. It has got to the busy time of year regarding the allotment. The time that I have had free has been spent running trains and editing photos. Here are a few Black and Whites hopefully they capture the spirit of Little Weldon.

Hello all.
I've been looking at the development of Little Weldon as it is now celebrating its first birthday. I would like to share a few photos from the last year.
I thought that the story of a corner would possibly be of some interest

The rock faces shown are actual thin slices of Kentish Rag Stone. That I cut from a piece of rubble infill from a Medieval wall that I was involved in the conservation of.
