I've never been on a cruise, but have thought about trying to persuade Mrs Cheshire Lines to try a Baltic cruise some time.
However, after seeing the news of the stricken cruise ship off the Norwegian coast this morning, I don't think I stand a chance now!
Thank goodness no one seems to have been seriously injured.

The thought of being on a floating hotel with a thousand or so people doesn’t appeal at all. However, we are going on a cruise in September along the Croatian coast, only 34 passengers though.

I would much prefer to be on board a cruise ship than being in a car. So much so my Good Lady has booked us on another cruise in September, leaving Southampton.

We all have different tastes thank heavens. Strange analogy, a car and a cruise ship. Guess it depends where you are going.

True. Never fancied the idea of sailing in a block of flats but we did do a Nile cruise. But as that was the only way to reach the temples it was a necessary evil. Thoroughly enjoyed it by the way, although the smog in Cairo nearly killed me.

If forced to board a boat then a Hercule Poirot style of cruise rather than most of America lodging in a floating hotel would be my choice.
I also thought the recent Viking Lines episode was a prime example of the sea is mightier than any ship.
