You can almost feel the warmth from the stove.

I thought I would start the year off with a picture of my favourite Class of loco. Having said that, 35028 Clan Line is as dead as a dodo at the moment. It was a DCC "factory fitted" loco, bought from a deceased's collection, and it has been in the box since December 2014. I have removed the decoder and capacitor and fitted a TCS DP2X-UK - however even that was suspect. Looks like some shopping required?

Nice picture to start off the new year BB. Hope you get 35028 moving but still looks good standing in the station.

Thanks Bob - I don't think I'd ever run it, so it may have been like that from when I got it. A friend had been asked to dispose of the deceased's collection, and knowing my interest in Merchant Navy Class, asked if I wanted it - it would have been rude to say no :) Barry

This loco is a bit of an odd one - 35012 United States Lines - I built it from and Ebay purchased M/N Body, a DCC Chassis and a tender - it runs well. The cost was about the same as buying a completed loco. It seemed like a good idea at the time

Great pictures Barry. They are beautiful locos. Even I like them.

I have cleared the fiddle yard. The track had not been cleaned for sometime, so decided to box-up a number of coaches, clean the track and may be apply some more greenery/weeds. I also found a "dead" track in the fiddle yard, so have checked the wiring under the boards, and found a couple of connectors that were not "connecting" as they should - all ok now. Barry

The lights in the alcoves are perfect Barry. Just the right glow.
