Don’t underestimate yourself. Steadyish hand and a fine paintbrush is all it takes.
On that subject, I buy all my brushes from the Range - packs of 10 for under £5. Look for packs that include size OO, works for me.

Nice loco's - what a difference crew make. I need an Ivatt 2MT - I'll add it to the list!

They are on ‘special’ at TMC - this one, DCC fitted, was only £108. I need to think about renumbering it to match the one I had my footplate experience on at the MHR.

My Hornby Club loco arrived recently but in its ‘natural state’ of yellow and grey plastic, it is a truly nasty model that is crying out for improvement - whether I have achieved that is open to debate.

Converted to DCC with a hard wired, 6 pin decoder and all the oil cleaned out of the body shell (it was swimming in it) and it was off to the paintshop.

Black chassis, green and grey body, wire handrails and lots of weathering and you end up with this.

It’s actually not a bad runner, but it has thrown up an issue in that it seems to send other locos off running on their own (crosti 9F was rescued twice from the TT pit). Seems as though I will have to work through the fleet and disable DC running and clean the track as I believe sparks from dirty track can cause interference.

Reads like you really need Bus Filters fitted?

Two things spring to mind......

1) I thought I had already fitted them when it was an end to end layout. Or at least, I know I bought the bits, maybe I didn’t fit them.

2) are they needed (do they work) on a circular layout?
