I had every intention of fitting a crew today but I appear to have run out of figures - must have bought more locos at the end of last year than I thought.
Order placed with Harry's Hobbies.

I had fitted the front steps but, as expected, they foul the front bogie on curves so a little surgery to the step saw them mounted further forward and slightly closer to the side of the running plate. They look ok but the fouling has yet to be tested.

The sliding trapdoor in the cab roof is a very poor and very loose fit - not at all well made. Will have to consider a dab of glue or they are going to go missing. Also the tender feels to have been made of a very light plastic - feels quite flimsy.

Finally the loco runs well but is quite noisy - not helped by some of the track not quite lining up at the board joints. I think some remedial repairs to the track are needed.

I shaved off the locating tab and moved them forward and out from the intended position.

Well I would never have know.

Looks great - assume you'll airbrush it with Dettol?

The new incumbent of the space behind a shelf bracket has made a mess of my telegraph wires by using them as supports for his bl##dy web. The web itself looks like a fine mist hanging over the yard.
That’s what happens when you don’t do any modelling for three months.
I fear the battle to evict him may take some time.
