Some could view it as insensitive that email; I got it along one from Asda which had an option to opt out of such future specific annual event ones.

Not too sure about insensitive, more like downright stupidity. How many people would buy their mum a £180 loco for Mothering Sunday unless of course she had her own layout, which I imagine is going to be extremely low percentage wise.

To tell you the truth My wife would prefer a building kit as she really enjoys doing those. She all ready has a few locos.

I agree with WTD, can't imagine what Hornby are thinking here and I thought it was hilarious, apart from buying your model railway mum a loco for mothers day can anyone shout up and say they have actually spent 180 quid for mothering Sunday, that'll sort the rich members from us poor ones

All my mum ever wanted on Mothering Sunday were flowers.

Well you asked. I once booked my Mum and a friend, a weekend in Paris with all the trimming for Mothers day. That cost way more than £180.
PS we are certainly not rich by streach of the imagination.

I had one today, ordered a new box of peco, 25 rails. Need a sit down and a glass of water.
