Fantastic layout, Ian! The closeup pictues are really convincing. And there are plenty of details and nice little touches. Gives me something to try to emulate. Is there any chance we could see a track plan, please?
Cheers and keep up the good work,
Artur

Thank you both - I am quite lucky in having a fairly large room and when I designed it I wanted to make the most out of the space I had. I need to fit in a workbench, storage and spraying area and accomodate a chimney, access tot he window and the door in the corner of the room.
I also didnt want to lose a large area of potential scenery with the fiddle yard so developed the hillside to cover the 6 roads. In some ways a conventional around the wall layout might have been easier, but I am quite happy how it is turning out.
The only track plan I have is a schematic which I used for the control panel. The track plan came from
www.freetrackplans.com and I used the one for Kirkby Stephen, turned it upside down and shortened it.

If you look at it closely, its just a very simple double track oval with a few sidings added in!

I eventually got around to weathering my Black 5 and the few wagons I was building before moving on to my new loco kit build - Millholme Patriot (
https://modelrailwayforum.co.uk/viewtop ... =33&t=1038).
I am not great at weathering but I like to at least have a go.
