Your latest acquisition
Re: Your latest acquisition
A rare beauty that one. Some people like sports cars. I could care less. Electrics perk me up.

Looks as though I will have to start collecting unrebuilt Merchant Navy Class loco's.

Thanks Howard - it does look good. Even RMweb say Hornby have done a good job It would appear the only "minor" probem is that the lamp brackets at the front slope backwards when they should be upright - easily "carefully" rectified. I think I might add the TTS sound decoder. Barry

Just noticed the young train spotter off to the left. Magnificent modeling, locomotive.bulleidboy wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 1:38 pm Looks as though I will have to start collecting unrebuilt Merchant Navy Class loco's.

Continuing my nostalgic 'anything goes' on my layout. Now have one of these, used to work on them as an apprentice, they ran double headed a lot, hood to hood. Looking at investing in a display wall cabinet for those that are not on the layout, any recommendations?

Yes you do. In fact too much sometimes. The brake linkage on the wagon was very complicated. In the end I did what I thought was necessary. You can’t see it unless the wagon is upside down. They also assume you are an expert of all things railway. Things like fit the groat brackets in line with the whelk truss.
I'm happy with it.
