I've given two episodes a try now and if I stay with it, which is unlikely, I will whizz to the end and watch the result. You don't really get to see a lot of the modelling take place and the presentation style is poor in my view. However two members have said E3 is the best so far - so it gets one more chance as far as I'm concerned. R-

It's entertainment for people who probably don't do railway modelling, & like other shows of a similar kind it needs a sense of jeopardy & over blown judges to 'work'. It was never intended to be a learning experience on "how to", & its unlikely you'll ever see that on TV.
Set your expectations low enough, its just a quirky alternative to Bake Off, or Strictly.

Well, having just watched E3 albeit in the truncated from (FF'ing past presenter chat and adverts) I have to agree with earlier comments that this one was the best so far. Also very clear the best layout won. R-

How true. Unfortunately some members just don't get it. It was just the same with the cross highland series discussion on the old forum.

It’s an entertainment programme for Joe Public not a course on building model railways.

Do you think the watching public find it interesting. %0% of our household, prefer Masterchef australia.

This "Joe Public" found E3 very entertaining - I actually laughed out load a couple of times. R-

I can’t comment on whether Joe Public likes it because he won’t be on here to tell us.

Surely we're all "the public" - not "all of the public" obviously.

Yes we are but not all of the public play trains. I like watching programmes about things I don’t know anything about, which is quite a lot.
