Should be no problem if it doesnt exceed the max memory card specs of the camera. If OK it just means it can store more video files.bulleidboy wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2019 12:30 pm A colleague has bought one of these cameras, but has a 32gb disc rather than the 16gb shown in the video - does this matter or affect the camera operation?

Re: New SQ11 Full HD Camera (1920x1080)
I have a 32 gig card in mine and it works |OK . It recommended 32 gig in the info about the camera so I ordered one. More important to have a class 10 card and not the slower class 4. I made that mistake so made sure the 32 gig one I ordered was class 10. You will see the class rating on the bottom right hand side of the card. Writing was so small on mine I had to read it with a reading glass.

THANK YOU! Now it all makes sense and I will start experimentingmijj wrote: ↑Sat Feb 02, 2019 11:18 pmyes, can do easily.
The page where instructions are given I found using google and is
http://org-info.mobi/shop/sq11-mini-dv-guide-en.htm
Copy those instructions to your opened word processor and paste them there.
Select them again and enlarge them until you can see them easily without magnification.
Save for the record.
HTH.

If anyone is in the market for the SD card TWD links to in post #64 - they are £5.99 at the moment, with free delivery if you are an Amazon Prime Customer. R-
Young at heart. Slightly older in other parts.

I just tested mine, it works but the avi files won't open with the 'normal' Windows apps so I installed the VLC program as above. That works.
A tip, using some liquid Tippex (white out) put a blob on the two buttons and then immediately wipe the surplus off, you will be left with the graphics on the buttons showing up in white; it really makes them stand out.
Now for some videos on the layouts - watch this space

UPDATE
I tried an experiment by formatting the card. First I thought to use NTFS (standard Windows format) but that would not work, so I reformatted as FAT32 (the default) but no change in the behaviour, only VLC will play the videos on my Windows 10 desktop. However, the file WILL play on my Windows 7 Toshiba laptop so I guess this is a Windows issue. Anyway we know how to use it now
Cheers
David
P.S. If anyone is interested, installing the K-Lite Codec Pack will allow the videos to play on Windows 10 - but be careful as it has loads of options. I did it to use Windows Media Player, not the Films & TV app.

There's a slight problem - it's too wide for 009 track! Si my experiments will now be on open areas with no station platforms. More later
