Was that compliment or critique?

My track looks like it has ballast sprinkled on and around it, yours looks like you laid the ballast first then embedded the track into it.

Four boards now have their signal lights fitted, just the shed area to do now. Looks a bit like a council house at Christmas.

I had hoped for a day out with the Memsahib today, but the weather down here wasn’t up to much - might have another try tomorrow.
So I finished the lights on the last board.

I’ll probably be accused of stating the bl##ding obvious but I’ll post this anyway.

When I repaired the scenery around the base of the new signals I followed the normal practice of fixing the ballast etc in place with dilute PVA.
When I tested the everything once it was reinstalled in the shed, I noticed a couple of the lights that should have been off were showing a slight glow. Initially I thought this may have been light from one led bleeding into the other, but now the glue has dried the glowing has stopped.
I assume the PVA had got inside the heatshrink and allowed a small amount of current to flow.

I know I'm new to modeling but I do appreciate pointers like this. It may be obvious to others but not so obvious to non-modelers on the scene . Thank you.

the ground signals look really good, certainly add something to the trackside, how are they switched?

They use the switch built in to the Seep PM1 point motors. The mimic board LEDs utilise the same switches.
