That is very good Brian - I like the "pooling" water - you can do that with PVA - I feel rain coming on

Flattery will get you everywhere Brian  It was a great picture with enough inspiration from that one picture to keep me going for a while - I'm still trying to catch up with inspirational pictures I looked at a year ago

Lesson learned today  The oil spill kit looks very good once painted, but if not applied carefully it b****** up your track. I ran a loco over it today, and it derailed. I was very careful with the application - I think I might have been a little over enthusiastic with the PVA. I have today, spent an hour with a small screwdriver clearing the stuff away from the inside rails in the shed area. A wagon ran over it without any problems, but a loco!!!!!! Now my slowest running loco goes over it at a crawl without problem.

Oh. Yes. Over-enthusiastic ballasting has a similar effect. Mind you, can be prototypical to see a row of ballast on the rails in areas where youth hand out.

I've just given Schools Class 30909 St.Paul's a new etched plate. I tried Fox Transfers, who I have not used before. Ordered online at 2.30pm on Tuesday, it arrived in the 11.30am post on Wednesday - that's what I call service - now if only Modelmaster Jackson-Evans could match that. I bought this loco, new from Hattons eleven years ago - it was one of their half-price sales - it is still as good as new and is one of Hornbys early loco's with sound fitted.

I have also today finished clearing the track from "oil spill" and repainting the ground. It now works - as it should. The shed area needs some oil drums and general shed clutter. Something needs doing to the retaining wall - it looks to much like a Metcalfe kit :( Also the mainline ballast needs toning down - so a few jobs to do  .

One day Barry somebody is going to inherit or buy your locos and they’ll think they’ve won the lottery, they are in perfect condition.

You need some ivy and buddleia on your walls.

Hopefully that day is a little way off Brian :). The walling needs to be darker, but I do agree some greenery would help. I'll give it some thought - one minor problem is that I have about nine feet of walling to deal with

Barry,

I agree with Brian that you need some weeds and climbers for the walls......take a look at tajima1.co.uk ...... their small fuzzy bushes in lush green make excellent weeds for the base and can even be stuck up the wall to represent climbers....... that is what i used recently on Portencross....... I found this company to excellent and have used them on several occasions.

BTW - the locos and shed look great

Cheers - Richard
