I'm still trying to get the hang of using static grass successfully. Just had a go on the embankment outside the tunnel entrance - still not sure about it. I used the Steve M method of 2mm followed by layering spray and then 4mm grasses. A few bushes at ground level will help.

Thanks for the positive replies - I'm still not convinced  . May be I have too much grass? I think one of my problems is that having used the various Woodland Scenics scatters and ground cover, I was happy with the overall outcome - now covering it with static grass, I am worried about the overall effect. As I had said, a few bushes and some fencing might help?

If you have too much grass, you could always get a goat.

Bushes would look good, I am sure. I am not sure about fencing this little peninsula of land, though - would this be fenced along its perimeter rather than just fenced off at the end?

Hi James - I will give the fencing some thought - I agree a small peninsular/embankment would probably not be fenced. I will probably fence (post and wire), around the perimeter of the hill and over the tunnel portals, but that's a little way down the "to-do" list :) Barry

Barry. If I may throw in my two penceworth.

I like it and tend to agree wth other members,

Then the more i look at it, it is 'too neat'. (IMO, I like the 'overgrown look, :) ) Earth is not perfect. Grasses do not grow everywhere. The soil wins in many places. Where the soil is poor grass is patchy to non-existant.

Possibly add a few bushes and small trees at the front. Not many. Just to complement the scene behind.

It is a lovely scene, Barry. As I say, just my two penceworth.
