LOW GHYLL
Re: LOW GHYLL
I only do simple and sometimes that’s enough of a challenge.

The scrap sidings grew some figures today. I must get some matt varnish to take the sheen off that red coat though.

Well out of its home territory the new GWR AEC Railcar made its debut on Low Ghyll.
Nice runner for such an ancient model, upgraded to DCC ready. I’ve added interior lighting, passengers and a couple of vacuum pipes to the buffer beams. Not bad for £50.

I've been tempted by this one - and you've convinced me. Thanks a bunch. R-

So long as you are not going to blame me for your expenditure Roger.
Forgot to mention my other purchase from the weekend - the Morris Minor, same colour, even down to the red pinstripe, as my Dad’s first car.

I am absolutely not, no way, ever never going to buy a Morris Minor in any colour at any time - thank you. Much as I like them. R-

Re: LOW GHYLL
I used to have the Lima model which was far more powerful then the prototype. It could pull ten coaches! It was in GWR livery and had the white roof.Steve M wrote: ↑Tue Jan 22, 2019 8:20 pm Well out of its home territory the new GWR AEC Railcar made its debut on Low Ghyll.

Budget modelling in 0-16.5...
Re: LOW GHYLL
Oh go on, you know you want to.
Also on the layout is a model of the last car I owned as a single man - red Sunbeam Imp. That thing used to go like the clappers!

That was the same as my dads first car. 311 FBH. I learnt to drive in it.
