Completed a bus stop corner piece to sit behind the station. Still need to make the signpost once I find a suitable version, probably white metal. The station has also gained a refreshment hut.

Just like the one I used to catch my school bus from - long long ago ...

On my old layout, I had added some generic sounds via small MP3 sound cards (cheaply available on eBay). I came across them while looking for something else in the garage yesterday so these will be added to West Orton to create a soundscape.
The Beeb have added a sound mixing facility to their website which I have used to create a mix of running water and sheep for the viaduct end of the layout. For the station end I have avoided the obvious station announcements and have mixed a number of files to create a country town ambience - birdsong, horse and cart, magpie, church bell.
Converted from .wav files to MP3 on some free software from NCH Wavepad and loaded onto micro SD cards.

One of my old speakers, culled from an old TV sound bar, has died but spares are readily available from Amazon - arriving tomorrow.

Not the most exciting video (only 7 seconds) but a new addition to the engine yard. I did one of these on the other layout and stumbled across my spare flickering LEDs this morning and thought, why not. Click the image to play.
