Lovely model, sits so well in the setting. It’s on my list for when the goods shed is finished.

Did you get the Maglight Barry.

Nice loco, every layout should have one.

Very nice! I only went into the newsagent for a travel magazine for my wife. Someone had put a railway modeller in the wrong place and it fell on the floor. I picked it up and here I am! Must be the thing they’d call fate.

Cadman (Howard) made me buy this at the Stoke Mandeville show. When I say made me I mean he didn’t say don’t buy it.

At last the two Siphon G's that I ordered ages ago arrived from Accurascale yesterday........Although perhaps slightly later than the period I model, I couldn't resist the "Newspaper" branded versions and entrusted then in the hands of Western D1043 " Western Duke" for a spin round Portencross.

I have neglected my layout a little over the past few months due to other priorities, but I am contemplating major surgery to the west end of the layout to primarily extend and introduce a lift up section for easier access ( as this crawling underneath is not going to get any easier with age). This will also necessitate a new routing to my lower level fiddle yard, so a simple one track helix is envisaged......however before any work can start I need to clear the basement to move stuff from the garden shed, so I can move my workshop into the hut from the area of the garage where the layout extension will be........don't expect to start building anything before the Autumn.

Mrs Hound Dog had authorised a new large hut specifically for a larger layout, but I really don't think I have either the appetite to start from scratch all over again, nor the ability to operate a much bigger layout single handedly.......so a 3 or 4 feet extension to one end of the the existing layout seems a much more sensible compromise.
