I've started to add a bit of "greenery" to the hill/tunnel - still a few acres to go!

More progress on the hill/tunnel. This level had been achieved just using Woodland Scenics Fine Turf (Soil, Earth and Blend). I have still to add bushes and trees - not sure whether the cottage will stay. I'm also not sure whether this needs static grass or course turf - it is supposed to be seen as a distant view - the cottage is Lyddle End - any people would probably be N gauge. It is still very much a work in progress. Please feel free to comment.

Looks very good Barry. You may have mentioned it elsewhere - but how did you get that textured [hacked about] finish to the stone face? R-

Hi Roger
The rockface was created using Woodland Scenics Rock Molds (there vulcanised rubber)- just fill with plaster of paris (Hobby Craft) and pop out when dry - there usually dry in thirty minutes - the detail is very good. I then dribbled WS Earth Pigment paint -very heavily diluted - over the rock face. There is a very good Woodland Scenics Instructional video on YouTube. I placed a couple of 1.5" nails into the plaster while it was setting, this enabled me to push the rockface up tight to the foam hill and the nails kept everything in place, but also allowed them to be removed and re-positioned if necessary. I am at the stage where this info is useful to me - and it does look very realistic. I have the P.O.P. so I feel an order to woodlands Scenic coming on
