One thing you should bare in mind is that Hornby Magazine has nothing to do with Hornby - it is produced and published by Key Publishing.
If you look in WHSmith most monthly magazines cost between £5 and £6 pounds. As with any magazine you will find the odd copy with nothing of real interest to you, but that's life. This is why there can be a saving, albeit small, on having a subscription.

I stopped getting the magazine for a couple of copies and tried Railway Modeller again and BRM but resubscribed to the Hornby one, much prefer it.

What’s a disgusting production?
The light leak on the brake van BB has.

It's getting several coats of paint on the interior - hopefully light-bleed will be eliminated.

Yes BB you said that but don't you think that Hornby should have light proofed the coach before they were sold. When I was watching the Hornby world program they said they took steps to make sure coaches with lighting were light proofed. Perhaps you got one that slipped through the net.

I am stopping my subscription to Railway modeller when it comes up for renewal in March. Think I will just pick up copies in the News Agents and just buy ones I fancy because some did not interest me much. And try some other mags instead. I found them interesting when I was designing my layout but that is done now. Will have look at the Hornby one never had that one.

I find Railway Modeller a little bit too specialised for me. This months Hornby mag didn’t have a great deal that interested me but I like looking at the pictures

This particular brake/baggage coach/wagon did not come with lights, and was never ever available with lights. So I fitted the Hornby Maglight system. It could be a thinner moulding - hopefully the paint will cure the problem?

I’ve probably said this before but an alternative to paint is to use self adhesive aluminium tape - guaranteed to stop light bleed.
