trying to reduce the size of my avatar to fit within the site requirements but currently struggling to get the small size needed, any help please would be gratefully received.

I use Windows Paint and it works fine for me. Happy to help !

I am using paint but can only get the file to 22kb, anything down to 6kb you can't see it!

must be doing something wrong here :?

I have tried to reduce it as a gif but it still won't work for me, it pixilates beyond recognition.

It took me yonks to work out how to produce one last time. Anyone have a quick way.

If it is a photo, then .JPG will normally be the best choice but for drawings then .PNG or .GIF should be best.

@Flashbang

Any chance of increasing the avatar size? 90 x 90 pixels is pretty restrictive.

To reduce an image I used http://resizeimage.net/

For the avatar where the size is small I set the size to 90px width, found the height was too high so changed the height to 90px keeping the aspect ratio. This worked and gave me one I wanted.

I'll up it to 150 x 150 and see what happens, if that's too big then it will have to come down.
