Keep going Chops, your get there

Firstly Chops, your image must be hosted in the cloud, some where like Flickr.

Then you need to use the link (or handcuff) icon in the toolbar above the reply box so you get {url /url} in squared brackets. I can't use the real symbols which end up invisible in the post. But just click that icon to see what I mean.

When you have that symbol in the reply box go to your image and copy the url from the address bar, come back to the reply box and paste that into the space between the pairs of square brackets. That will give you this text

which will take anyone who wants to view your image to the site hosting it.

If you want to paste a picture as the link, and in Flickr this is very easy, you just click the share button on the page your image is on and Flickr produces the code for you. Just paste that in the reply box. You will need to play around with the image size parameters which are in the same code production screen.
