Switchpilot extension - changing delay time

I wonder if anyone on the forum can help with info on setting up a Switchpilot extension. I have a Switchpilot servo decoder which I am successfully using to operate Peco 75 electro frog points. I am using a Switchpilot extension plugged directly to the SP servo unit to operate the live frog. I am running the system using my NCE Powercab. So far it all works OK but I want to adjust the delay timing on the Switchpilot extension so the relay doesn't fire imediately the point is operated. (This is to avoid shorts when the frog switches before the servo has time to move the point blade from the live rail).
From the instruction manual I can see that I need to adjust the delay via CV49. However using my Powercab I have not so far been able to successfully do this. I can seem to program CV49 via the "Program Track" option but it doesn't delay the relay operation. It also apears from the Switchpilot manual that there is more than one parameter on CV49 (number of outputs delay is applied to AND delay time. My Powercab only seems to come up with one value I can adjust.
Anyone successfully done this with a Powercab, and if so, how did you do it? Thanks if you have taken the time to read through this long post!
