What a beautiful aircraft it is in flight and it's British.

That and dozens of other aircraft. We were building new types at about 1 a month.

My parents loved to come to air shows with me to see xh558. After there deaths i donated money to a return to flight fund and in return i had certificates to say their names would put inside the bomb bay doors after it returned to flight.

The moan from the intakes at about 80-85% throttle is something not easily forgotten. One fantastic aircraft that shows how good our designers were.

A breathtaking display.......by coincidence today at a model rail show in Milton Keynes one layout incorporated a part of an airfield with a Vulcan overhead..........HB
