A shed for all seasons

#1

Post by Walkingthedog »

Spent last week constructing and yesterday and today erecting this shed. It is aprox 9 X 20ft. The whole thing arrived flat packed in two 9 X 3ft boxes from Australia. There were only four pre drilled holes in a roof section and we had to put together every single part with hundreds of self tapping/drilling screws. Lots of pop rivets will be added. Just the front doors to add on Monday. Very enjoyable

Just a suggestion I would anchor two ratchet straps over the roof for the windy season so your not picking it out of someone’s garden that’s replace their trampoline

Most people are shocked when they find out how bad I am as an electrician

It is bolted to the concrete base with lots of bolts.

It is wider at the top PP, we are going to store funnels in it.

When we constructed it it was snowing. Two very warm days erecting it but the whole slab is surrounded by mud. Still it was fun.

Supposed to be cyclone proof, thats what it said on the tin.

Is this in your "field" - will the tractor be safe?

I built two smaller versions for my daughter. Nightmare as the metal panels are wafer thin and anything over a light breeze had them flapping all over the place during build. Definitely a two man job. As for those screws....some were in awkward places for my fumble fingers. The hardest bit I found was attaching the ridge cover as you could not lean on the roof panels without bending them.
