Accessing this site using EE mobile
Has anyone reported issues accessing the forum using EE?
I can access it on my phone when on wifi, but not on mobile.
I have contacted EE and they cannot see any issues, no content is blocked.
Thanks in advance.

Same here John. On wifi straight in as with Hornby forum etc., but on mobile "This site can’t be reached" "www.modelrailwayforum.co.uk unexpectedly closed the connection". All other forums OK on mobile.

I have never used my phone to access any forum. By the way I am on EE.

Your problem is trying to upload too much data via a mobile network connection, possibly using a maximum 4G connection (assuming you have 4G available). It times out as the upload is taking too long! Hence WiFi works correctly as it is much faster usually than any mobile data currently.
Mobile 5G should overcome as its around 10 times faster than 4G, once its rolled out across all networks and of course you will pay more for it!!

Thanks Brian. All the other forums appear instantly as does the message saying it can’t connect to this one. There is no delay.

But you've just said in a previous post you dont use mobile data to connect?Walkingthedog wrote: ↑Tue Mar 05, 2019 10:52 am Thanks Brian. All the other forums appear instantly as does the message saying it can’t connect to this one. There is no delay.
WiFi will work immediately as its usually so fast. Mobile is just too slow currently. My mobile automatically uses WiFi rather than 4G whenever possible
If the forum works on WiFi on the same device then the only missing link is the speed of the mobile connection (or lack of it)

I've never had any problems until the weekend.
I don't have broadband at home, and always use my phone with no issues till then.
Other forums work spot on, just this one that is causing issues.

I have just turned Off WiFi on my 02 mobile and I only get a low signal strength on data (H) and the forum uploaded in around 1.5 to 2 seconds correctly.
See the screen shot below. As can be seen there is no WiFi connection just mobile data.

4G is pretty constant where I live, and other places I visit.
Will just have to use this place when on free wifi I found out and about.
