Re: N scale Pennsylvania layout
I have a real liking for the US locos, big hearty beasts. I cannot name any of them, but scenes like this and the classic over trestles, are just so American, how can you just not love it. Nice modelling.
It reminds me of Cassey Jones, and the Wild Wild West etc.The time might not be that era, but the atmosphere is so U S of A. I have American cousins, unfortunately they nearly all live in New York, not out in areas like this.
Off Topic, I wonder if anyone has ever done a Streets of San Francisco scene with the trams. Preferably 1960s / 1970s like the TV series.
Back on topic, is Pensylvania a steel town?

Looking good.
Is the river part of the backscene, or modelled separately?

Yes the river at the back is just part of the back scene !cheshire lines wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2019 3:30 pm Looking good.

Re: N scale Pennsylvania layout
my thoughts too, as for Pennsylvania I just model the railroad the layout is based on a fictitious one in mid west Pennsylvania of which I haven't thought of a name yet !jaz avalley wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2019 11:55 am I have a real liking for the US locos, big hearty beasts. It's looking good. Does the layout have a particular era? The buildings look timelessly small town USA, but the bus looks rather retro although I'm not very clued up on buses, so I might be wrong about that.
