Not the open weekend in the title but there is a factory sale at the Visitor Centre this weekend.
Called in this morning and although there was a reasonable selection available, prices were a lot higher than previous events.
For once I bought nothing in the sale area, but.........they had a load of Oxford Rail ‘Janus’ 0-6-0 . No boxes but at £50 it would have been rude not to.

Quite enjoyed the visit and like you decided to purchase the Janus (Port of London) model for £50.
I don't know about yours, but mine is going back. On first inspection she seemed fine, but whilst running her in on DC she was incredibly jerky. Checked the wheels and they were filthy! Went to open her up and noticed some of the parts underneath had glue all over them and one screw wasn't in correctly. When I checked the holes for that screw didn't line up and the screw head was almost stripped! Very disappointed, £50 or not I would expect better.
Hope you had more success with yours?

I had the clean the wheels, but I tend to do that before running in and fitting a decoder anyway. No issues with mine, runs beautifully. I think you were just unfortunate.
