Interesting perspective of a spitfire as seen from the vulcan's bomb bay. As a founder member of VTST my name is on one of those lists stuck on the inside of bomb bay doors, though I can't quite read it in the video :D

Note the video looks very dark to start with as bomb bay doors are closed.

Great video - didn't have time to read any names.

This Silver Spitfire a "pilot's everest" is going to be something isn't it?

Great pictures and video clip - the Spitfire in the video looked like a Mk9 - twin cockpit?

The silver Spit is not the one in the video, it’s the one Roger mentioned.

In a former life we ‘erks’ had to polish the airframes after every flight using Wadpol - an industrial sized tin of Duraglit. This practice was eventually stopped as it was found to be wearing away the aluminium to the point of being structurally unsound.

My favourite Spitfire is the other silver one with the bubble canopy...

Or if your budget doesn’t run to a Supermarine one then you could build this one...

That is a great colour scheme Rob, but unfortunately it looks like this now.

The Silver Spitfire leaves Goodwood at 1.30pm today. It would appear its callsign is G-IRTY (its reg.) - should be able to follow on Flightradar24?
