Who to go to for Lima Motor changes?

Hi All,
I have around 20 Lima 00 diesels which would seem to be candidates for sale unless I can get their motors changed as I am going DCC and Sound.
Unfortunately I am at the age where I do not have nimble enough fingers or good enough eyesight to do this myself.
So I am looking for experiences/ recommendations on who is out there and can do this work?
I would prefer to go to someone who can do the motors and install chips so that when I get a loco back that doesn't work I am not caught between the "its your motor install" and "its your chip install" shouting match!
Many thanks
Cheers
Paul

The cost of the job would be my may concern these days, plenty on the internet about the subject and CD motors to suit are cheap enough,
https://www.strathpefferjunction.com/pr ... 0mm-co-co/ IMHO you maybe better off selling the limas and buy some more modern locos.

Thanks Brian,
That is the decision I am trying to make!
However, the cost of modern locos being what it is, replacing the 20 Limas will cost c£3000!
Cheers

Why on earth would you want 20 sound locos ?

Why do I need 20 locos? (Actually that is just the Lima tally.)
Because my main interest is in operation, and I will be operating a mainline and branch junction to a realistic timetable which you cannot do with just a few locos!
I am afraid the small three trains a day branch line is of no interest to me.
But as I said earlier, each to their own!
Cheers
Paul

You may not have got the answer you were looking for Paul, but at least you got some answers unlike RMweb.

True,
However I find that sometimes I get the best response here, sometimes on platform1 and sometimes on RMWeb.
There are other Forums, which on the whole I find a waste of time.
So I shall probably continue to post on all three sites, it is not much more work than posting on one, just copying and pasting, and it is a better insurance that someone will respond!
Many thanks
Paul
