I have just finished scratch building a 7 mm scale GWR mile post including the GWR Broad gauge rail for a friend, all was fun until it came to attaching the Slaters 2 mm tall numbers. I broke more than i used cutting them from the sprue with a scalpel, i placed the first number on the post.... and it melted away when it came in contact with the solvent glue i used, not a good start. The next attempt was brushed on cement then quickly placing the numbers in line  it worked . Anyway here are the results. Just tried out some new rusting effects paint, i like it.

That has come out very well indeed PL. Those ‘rust’ paints are good - bought some last year.

Now could you attempt the same in N? :D
