No. It was "suggested" by the clinical pharmacist at my surgery that I should consider taking them. I don't like taking any medication that is not absolutely necessary.

I used to take them but after reading so much bad press I told the GP I wasnt going to anymore. I'm still here!

Yeap! I take a 10Mg dose every evening. So far they keep me alive!

I was borderline and was given the choice of whether or not I wanted to take them. I decided against doing so - for the time being anyway. R-

Been on them for nearly 10 years - was just over 6 on the cholesterol scale now down to 4.

I take them, would not be here if not, tried three types before i got the right one without bad side-effects.

Been on them for about 7 years - 40mg dose. Never had any side effects and all 6-monthly check-up results show normal or better levels of cholesterol etc.

I have been on them for around 10 years never had any of the alleged side effects or any other issues, Cholesterol is under 3.

I've been on them for a few years, I can't remember exactly how many though!
I know we older generation (at least the company I keep) tend to discuss our ailments and medication over a pint or 5 but was surprised to see it raised here...…..
