Hi everyone
Hi to all. I can only say "what happened"?. I thought it had all gone & this was someone else's forum. But i can now see that it is the old forum, or is it. Not sure why, but why has all the posts been eradicate. I would imagine it made many quite annoyed with the work everyone had put in for all the members questions that will take many years to replace. I would imagine it wont of done its search engine rankings any good. One good thing is this is a far better format of a forum to work with. A nicer template would be nice, but maybe this will come.
Oh well. Hi to all the on30 modellers & hope there is still some electronic helpers here.

When the previous forum owner decided he didn’t want to continue, Flashbang had arranged to take it over and transfer it to a new hosting site. Only found out when it was too late to change that the old forum wasn’t compatible with the new. Unexpected and unforeseen but ultimately nobody’s fault.collectors wrote: ↑Sun Oct 21, 2018 5:05 pm But i can now see that it is the old forum, or is it. We all got over it, well, all but one.
The info is still out there sitting in the member’s collective heads - just needs the questions to be asked.

Collectors, tis the old forum, with most of old members, in a new format, with a lot of past trivia gone for good. No harm in that. The old experts, remain, and advice just as good. I like the new format. Same thing happened to the Hornby forum. Nowt wrong with change.

Ah! Surprising. I have some IT friends that work with writing database software & they were very supersized on somthing as basic as a forum wasn't transferable as there is so much software that enables you to write between anything & everything from excel tables to MySQL & many more in a very short time.Steve M wrote: ↑Sun Oct 21, 2018 5:13 pmWhen the previous forum owner decided he didn’t want to continue, Flashbang had arranged to take it over and transfer it to a new hosting site. But hay'ho a fresh start can be good as well, just a bit of a shame on all the info links lost.

Re: Hi everyone
I find it quite refreshing that we are starting again. Brian did try to get the old info but it just wouldn’t work. What we have is far better than not having the forum at all. The important bits will reappear as time goes on and there was a lot that is no longer wanted. I dare say there is somebody who will say they can retrieve everything but I think things are fine as they are
Can we have some pictures of your layout please collector.

Just a couple of pics. Slowly getting it done. Going to turn the uni strut into a type of upside down suspension bridge.
