It is a bit overly lengthy, but it was necessary to include all our members contributions.
The first half focuses on a particular Mexican contribution, which is always interesting
to see other national railroads. This gentleman was instrumental in helping us obtain
a fair grant to overhaul the roof, which will enable future generations to enjoy the
place.

It is a wonder to us over the age of 40, or 50, etc. if there will be future generations,
as so many are smitten with video games. As my generation was spared that onslaught,
we got to enjoy using our minds and developing new skills to run model trains. On the
other hand, it is surprising to hear, both from modellers as well as our local hobby shop,
that model railroading is in a strong ascent in Mexico, as that country's middle class is
developing rapidly over the last three decades. From what I see of the U.K., in this forum,
is that model railroading continues to attract new comers.

There is a fair amount of interchange between Mexican motive power and rolling stock
in these parts. Not uncommon to see a N de M EMD SD 90MAC on point, or in a multiple
lash up of locomotives. More occasionally is the Canadian National SD 90, and I am told
on good authority, that the cab placards are in both English and French.
