Basic DCC Wiring Help Needed

Hello everyone, I just signed up recently to the forum and this is my first topic/post.

I'm running a double oval of N Gauge kato Unitrack. The straight pieces of track are (part number 20-012), with a single crossover (part number 20-231) to switch between the inner and outer track. I'm running DCC trains using the Bachmann EZ Command controller. How do I wire up the layout properly to allow switching between the two ovals? This is probably super basic stuff but it's the first time I've used this type of track and crossover etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Its really quite simple... Each loop of track, as a minimum, needs one pair of feed wires connected to its rails (more feeds are better). However and most important, rails of each loop need to be the same polarity. e.g. Outer loop the outside rails are to the Red feed wire and the same needs to be done on the Inner loop with its outer most rails also to the same red feed coming from the DCC consoles "Track" terminals. Note; I have said Red it can be any colour wire insulation with a different colour wire feeding the other sides rails. - Black perhaps?
Always arrange a feed so as the power flows into the points and leaves via the points frog and Vee rails.
Any sidings will probably need extra feeds to their rails too.

Thank you for the reply Brian!

I have managed to get my double oval up and running and also added a siding today. I added extra power feeds which are in the same polarity. I can now use the crossover and siding, however if I leave the siding point or crossover switched open when the train comes back around it shorts out/cuts out. If the point or crossover is closed again before the train runs over that part of the track again it works just fine. I hope that makes sense lol! :D

Can you post a rough track plan and on it show all the feed locations? Are the Kato points configured for Electrofrog operation? If so, have IRJs (Insulated Rail Joiners) been fitted to the points Vee rail ends?

I set the electrofrog screws to the off position underneath the crossover and siding point. I tested everything and it's working perfectly now!
Thanks again for your help Brian! It is much appreciated.
