I had a trip in it on the Yorkshire Dales Railway in September, it is an impressive restoration.

That’s on my ‘to do’ list.
I think either Rails or Kernow are planning a model of the LNER railcar - may have to save my pennies (which is more than I managed to do today
)

Glad to hear that "austerity" hasn't affected Warley!

On a serious note, I think it has been affected. The show doesn't seem quite so large these days - definitely fewer retailers attending. Some very good layouts on display though - I was particularly taken by one depicting a Cornish estuary (Porth St. John?) - probably the finest example of a beach that I have seen in model form.
There was a very nice looking O gauge layout (Kimble I think) but although I visited a number of times, I never saw anything actually move on it.
Actually, all I got today was more weathering paints, some decent fine paintbrushes and some odds and ends from the tool suppliers. Quite restrained really.
I had been tasked to buy my own Christmas present, the new Bachmann J72, but they have yet to arrive.
Next weekend there is a factory sale at the Hornby Visitor Centre which I may have to go to, just in case something else catches my eye.

I was able to get to the Hornby sale this morning and grabbed myself a Peckett and a SE&CR H class at a very nice price.
