Does anyone know when the new Peco twist lock switch motor will be available?

As I was advised to... I'd suggest going to Peco directly.

I struggle to understand how this is that much better in terms of the installation - you still need to accurately fit the fixings as opposed to accurately fitting an underboard mounted point motor and they may assist in providing a template but why have not bothered to do the same for the normal motor fixed underboard.

There are at times to be found some underboard mounts for the normal point motor from third party suppliers which are far stronger than Pecos offering and have four fixing holes. I hit on a simple way to fix these - locate the mount on the point motor and position the motor on top of the point with the mount resting on the rails, carefully align the motor and drill two 3mm holes through two of the fixing holes diagonally apart from each other. Now fix the motor to the underside using M3 bolts and nuts, check it works okay then screw fit in place using the two spare holes, remove the M3 nuts and bolts and fill the holes in.

The only advantage I can see is that's its simpler to change a faulty motor which is hardly an ideal promotion for it.
