New life starting . Well Hello to all who know me from the previous forum and to all new members joining as well.... I have not been able to use the forum for a while because we have had to move yet again. We have found a very nice old stone cottage near the village of Norham not far from Berwick upon Tweed. Have been off line for ages and only just had the phone line connected. All the railway stuff is in boxes in the back spare room so not started building a layout yet. Will be posting some pictures as soon as work starts on the railway. Hello to all from me and thnkyou to all who have worked to get this new site up and running and must say it is looking very good indeed. ....................John

Footplate, hi, welcome back. Thought you were well suited in Cumbria. Could you not settle to rural life, or was it the accent. John

Welcome back. Hope everything went well with this move and that you're happy there. Seems a pity things didn't turn out well at the other house, hope it wasn't anything too drastic.

Welcome back footplate1947 and welcome to the beautiful border country. I'm only a few miles from you, albeit on the Scottish side! Hope you can settle here and relax.
All the best
Ted

Hello all and thanks for your good wishes. This little cottage came along and it was to good to refuse. We did did get bit fed up at the other one having to go 23 miles to the nearest shopping. It was bit to remote for my wife. Now she has all her favourite shops about 6 miles away. Will save fortune on petrol as well. Still unpacking right now. Thanks all for good wishes...........John
