Hornby nem coupling x9289 is not available and has been for some time .
Will Bachmann 36-027-00 short cranked nem coupling or 36-030-00 straight nem coupling fit Hornby locos

Yes. NEM means it has a standard fitting.

The 36-030s are the ones to use, the 36-027s have a stepped shank to counter the overheight location of the NEM socket on some Bachmann models.
