Pausing SKY Sport Channels

I don't know how many of you have this (SKY Sport), but due to the current situation, where there is virtually no live sport happening, you can pause the SKY Sport element of your package. It will be reinstated when "live" sport commences. You can go online and do this. It does reduce your monthly bill substantially. I should add that the channels are still there and working, but you will not be charged for the time being. Barry (aka BB)

No reduction via Virgin as far as I can see.

I did that this morning and will save a few months subscriptions.

But also just had a letter from Sky saying my monthly subscriptions will rise by about 5% next month. It would be nice if they delayed that.....

Virgin have just started to pause that part of the subscription.

It’s all online so go to virginmedia.com and you will see a very prominent link to follow. You will need to have your virgin account number and area code to complete the form. This is in the top right hand corner of the website once you have logged on.

Just had my holiday in Derbyshire in two weeks time scrubbed. I was waiting for them to do it rather than me cry off, although I had asked them about the situation.

They are offering a rebook later in the year or total cancellation for £100 to cover expenses.
I thought that was a tad steep.

Expecting the same notification about our week in Wales at the end of May.

My almost certain to be cancelled Peak District hols in May has already agreed a full refund if I want it . I plan to leave it until the end of April in the unlikely event that it can go ahead.
For future reference many U.K. cottages are available through booking.com and most seem to automatically have free cancellation up to 14 days before the start date.
Something to bear in mind.

Same here for our trip to Wales in May. Offered us a full refund, different date later in the year or a voucher for when ever we rebook. Went for a date in September and if not available the voucher.

Although we have not physically cancelled out Florida trip (May 1-30), we will not be re-booking later in the year. I think this might have been our last year - Mrs BB says she getting to old for nine hour flights. We have "travel disruption" on our insurance, so hopefully, if Trump doesn't extend the flight ban from Europe, we should get our money back - this will also include the cost of the condo. I saw today on the condo rental site, that the people who were due to be in the condo before us - leaving the day we arrived - appear to have vacated - April is now shown as "available". We were really looking forward to it, but it's not the end of the world. The main thing, as with all of us, is to just get through the next few months.
