Like Brian - I use paint from The Works - our local garden centre has a number of "franchise" groups on the same site, of which one is The Works. As mentioned paint is very cheap, but also packs of paint brushes in various sizes, usually £2 for a pack of five - at that price if they wear out or you forget to clean them, snap the head off - they make good stirrers, and get a new one out.
