I was just reading that shares in Aston Martin have dropped to £0.35p (on Friday) and that Hornby shares are £0.31p. I wonder if, in a years time what the fortunes of these two companies may be?

Hornby shares have been 31 to 33 pence for at least 6 months, well before the virus and have hardly changed during it. So my money is on Hornby.

Lawrence Stroll (owner of Tommy Hilfiger and Racing Point F1) bought a large shareholding in AM recently and rumors are that he intend such to ‘install’ a senior Mercedes executive as the new CEO very shortly.
The Racing Point F1 team is also to be renamed as Aston Martin F1 next year possibly with S Vettel as their new driver. Mercedes already supply engines for AM roadcars and the F1 team.
I reckon they are safe.
Hornby in the meantime, will keep plodding on.

Time will tell! There are many stories of Mercedes withdrawing from formula one, and as Steve mentioned they (Mercedes) already have close links with Aston Martin - so may be, just may be, their technology would be transferred to Aston Martin and Mr Wolff would run the F1 team - lots of stories out there - Lewis Hamilton in an Aston Martin???

Possibly as Team Principle at AMF1 but not CEO of AMGroup. Toto has no experience in that field.

Hamilton wants to drive for Ferrari... but theres never been a seat for him when he's been oit of contract... plus he knows winning championships will be far harder...
