Makes you wonder whether the Midland Railway really needed 'Big Bertha' for the Lickey Incline
On a sadder note, it was reported that Michael Angelis (who took over from Ringo Starr as narrator for the Thomas videos) sadly passed away a few days ago.

Thomas seems to have no issues with large gaps between rails either
(look closely at the last 2 photos).

The track at that place does not have any connection point,
but it's no challenge to Thomas. He can run on carpet, flooring etc, He does not have to rely on track.
