Hi everyone,
Been back in the sport for about 5 years after a 30 year absence when fast cars and women got in the way (or was it fast women and cars).
I'm mostly modelling modern era in oo, my skill level is not great so mostly RTR stock.
I've been watching this forum for some time and you guys seem friendly enough so thought I'd register and pick your brains every now and again.

Welcome - I'm sure if the question you have hasn't been answered hundreds of times already then you'll get a clear answer. If it has, you may get an obtuse answer and some pointing at the same question. Don't worry though, even the obtuse answer will be friendly and correct and clear enough.

Welcome to the forum Phil. Friendly helpful bunch on here so ask away.
Word of warning though, if you found fast women and cars expensive and time consuming, this hobby won't help

Welcome Phil. Motorcycles too are expensive - a recent new rear tyre - ouch!

Yes welcome Phil, site is great for everyone either starting out or who have many years into building their dream layout and whether basic or advanced. Members here have helped me a lot.
I've been finding my way for years but ask a question loco's, stock, electric's etc etc and you will get some great help from people and it's also a friendly place to be.
