Not terribly clear I know - but within the limitations of my iPhone [and painting skill] I don't think these are too shabby for OO gauge. R-

They look very good Roger. I bought some loco crew from Hardys Models - the detail is "life-like", but the concern is the painting - you want them to look real - which they will with a first class paint job . I think you've done a great job. Barry

They came out well.
A trick I learnt from the old forum was to dry brush figures with a lighter shade. I found that it has to be a very, very dry brush and that a light grey works well on loco crew to bring up the creases in the clothes.

Thanks Steve. I tried a very, very diluted black wash which seemed to work ok, except for the lady 3 from the left. I mucked that one up by applying too much wash and no matter what I do I don’t seem to be able to get it back. I’ve decided she’ll just have to been seen out in a grubby coat! Yellow is my enemy it seems but I will try the dry powder routine. R-

Roger, not dry powder - dry brush.
A little paint on a flat brush, wiped virtually dry on a tissue, then very lightly flicked across the model.
Practice first - many of my figures seem to get a very wide stripe on their backs!
