So newbie to all this.
I started off as many of us do with boards laid directly on floor but have load of electrics points solenoids switches lights ect so want get underneath.

I sketched out a design and started pricing it up, soon adds uo for the 2 sheets of ply 8x4 by 12mm is £55 plus timber.

I'm also in process of replacing the sheds with a log cabin, so starting to clear out. I've got an old table some pine sheets , MDF and some batons.

I've nearly finished building it using the pine 8*3 at the front sitting on the table with 2x2 MDF round the side and 8x2 round the back.

My only issue/concern is getting to the underside of boards on batons sitting on the table, there are about 4 or 5 pieces so maybe tap screw in each corner so can easily lift that section out, would this work? Or do I cut a hole in the table but there still be a bit left around the table frame

Thanks Andy

I have spent 140 years in the builders merchants industry and timber has been getting more expensive, so 12mm ply can be up to 30 quid a sheet.

Timber is a terrible price these days, anyone would think it grew on trees ;)

Can I suggest you condense your posts into one thread. You have started four threads on the same subject and it becomes tiresome flicking between threads to put into context your current postings, it will help people to give you the right advice :)

Well the table is now finished and as a "freebie" made out of reclaimed & repurposed wood I'm quite pleased with the result.
I've just sealed the top with watered down pva glue last night ready for base coat of paint. I have some "cookie dough"/very light brown which I think will be ideal as not too dark, so then can paint over it once I know what is going where.
