Saw this on Facebook. Unfortunately due to the loss of his wife, ill health and other issues they are closed.
My heart goes out to him for his loss. It is also a very sad loss for the hobby as they have always been my go to place, providing competitive prices, quick delivery and great service.
The statement on the web site reads as follows:
"TrackShack is now closed permanently.
All outstanding orders will be posted to customers today Monday 3rd August 2020.
Arrangements are being made for customers who have Accucraft or Roundhouse locos on pre-order to have their loco supplied direct from the manufacturer.
After 14 years serving the hobby the recent death of the owner's wife, coupled with ill health and severe trading issues because of the Corona Virus, a decision has been made to retire.
Thank you to all our many loyal customers, it has been our pleasure to serve you."

Very sad indeed. I just checked my posts and it's just a month since I started a new thread on here praising their brilliant service.

A very bad loss to the hobby. I do hope the owner reads this thread, as I want him to know how much I appreciated his service over the years.

Sad sad news, always had excellent service and always helpful on the phone, I do feel for him as must it be a hard time he is having at the moment.

Oh how sad, the best shop I have ever dealt with.

Absolutely tragedy on multiple levels - I have had wonderful service from them in recent years and as recently as last week for two coaches...... very sad

Oh that is so sad, John will be missed. I know all our thoughts are with him at this time.
